PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a float, by a method wherein the bottom part of a gate body is rotatably firmly adhered to the sea bottom, a rotary support shaft is extended into water, and an arm and a float are intercoupled to lift and lower the gate body alongwith the elevation of the float. CONSTITUTION:If, when the tide is in, water surfaces 4 and 4' are positioned in the same level as that of sea 7, floats 19 and 19' are raised, and a draft line is positioned in the same level as that of the sea 7, and arms 23, 24, 23', and 24' stand up. A door body 1, secured to horizontal rotary support shafts 16 and 16' secured to the arms 23, 24, 23', and 24', also stand up, and the top part of the gate body is raised to the same level as that of the floats 19 and 19'. Sea water is impeded by the gate body 1 to prevent sea water from entering river, river water is increased in flow rate, and flows over the gate body 1 to sea. This enables reduction of the size of a float weir as compared with a conventional type, and permits effective contribution to river improvement and water-utilization. |
