PURPOSE:The titled composition containing a crude drug extract having antioxidizing ability. CONSTITUTION:An inhibitor composition for formation of skin peroxylipid obtained by incorporating an extract of crude drug, e.g. rosemary, scarlet sage, allspice, paprica, sesame or thyme, having antioxidizing ability with other components. The crude drug is extracted with water, hudrophilic organic solvent, e.g. ethanol, hydrous hydrophilic organic solvent and another organic solvent or liquid edible fat or oil, etc. as an extraction solvent in an amount of equal to the dried crude drug or above at room temperature for >=1hr and if necessary under heating. The above-mentioned inhibitor is used by incorporating with a drug capable of improving the skin peroxylipid abnormality, e.g. tocopherol or ascorbic acid, and a necessary excipient, additive or base amd formulated. The inhibitor is administered as a percutaneous pharmaceutical, e.g. liquid external drug or ointment, etc. or may be used as a skin cosmetic. |
