MANDREL FOR CONTRACTIBLE TUBE'S PRODUCTION

The solution concerns a coating mandrel for production of contractible tube mainly of collagen tube of small diameter, for arterial prosthesis. The mandrel consists of a rod made of flexible material, for example of silicon rubber, which shows the ability of contraction under axial load. In its alternative design, the mandrel is in axis of the rod, produced of flexible material, equipped with strengthening removable rod. After drying the tube adhering on mandrel it is released by axial tractive force exerted on both ends of the rod. In this manner the tube is separated from the mandrel, which forms a pad.<IMAGE>
