PURPOSE:To display the deflected part and eccentric direction quickly and accurately, by providing a deflected part measuring device having three or more ultrasonic wave sensors, which measure the thickness of the sheath of a cable, a manual dial, an operating circuit and a coordinate correcting circuit. CONSTITUTION:A measuring position G is separated by a specified distance from a die 3 of an extruder. The thicknesses of a sheath 8 of a running cable 7 at the four equally divided positions of the circumference of the cable are measured by ultrasonic wave sensors 15. The detected signals 32 are inputted to an operating circuit 31. The value of the deflected part at each position on the circumference of the cross section of the cable is computed by the circuit 31, and an output signal 33 is outputted. Meanwhile, a mark 34 is indicated on the outer surface of the cable 7 in the vicinity of the die 3. The position deviation due to the twist of the cable 7 until the position G is reached from the die 3 is visually detected. By manipulating a manual dial 35, the position deviation (a twist angle theta) is measured. An output signal 36 of the dial 35 and the signal 33 are inputted to a coordinate correcting circuit 37. The correcting operation, by which the coordinates are turned by the angle theta in the reverse direction with respect to the dial 35, is performed. An output signal 38 is outputted and displayed 39. |
