PURPOSE:To make the heat exchanger compact and reduce the weight thereof by a method wherein a stepped section is provided along the rim of outer peripheral end of a cylindrical core and a sliding surface is formed on the stepped section while a circumference sealing section is engaged with the sliding surface to hold the cylindrical core rotatably. CONSTITUTION:The core 1 is provided with the annular stepped section 11 along the rim section of outer peripheral end of the high-temperature fluid inflow side thereof and the circumference sealing member 18 holding the core 1 slidably. The stepped section 11 of the core 1 and the seal member 18 are slid and contacted mutually on a horizontal sliding section 11A and a cylindrical sliding and contacting section 11B. The core 1 is pushed against the seal member 18 by the spring 9 through seal members 7A, 8A while the horizontal movement of the core 1 is restricted by the stepped section 11 and the circumferential sliding and contacting section 11B and the core 1 is driven by a pinion gear 2A. According to this constitution, a holding member for restricting the horizontal movement of the core 1 is not necessitated and the casing of the heat exchanger may be made compact whereby the weight of the heat exchanger may be reduced. |
