PURPOSE:To enable quick and safe measurement and treatment of a number of a radioactivity measuring sample by a method wherein a fixed amount of a sample liquid is sampled from a sample container shifted with a sample changer to extract and separate radioacitive iodine in the sample liquid and then, a measuring container is shifted to the measuring position while the empty container is shifted to the injection position. CONSTITUTION:As with the rotation of a sample changer 1, a sample container 4 is transferred under a specimen sampling mechanism 6 of a preprocessor 2, the mechanism 6 starts to sample a fixed amount of sample from the container 4 and transfer it to an extraction/separation mechanism 8, which starts a series of actions based on a solvent extraction method to inject a measuring liquid containing radioactive iodine to a measuring container 7 on the sample chamger 9 after adjusting it. Under such a condition, with the rotation of the changer 9 for one container, the subsequent empty containe is transferred to the position of injecting the measuring liquid while with the rotation of the changer 9, a changer 1 turns for one container. On the other hand, the container 7 is conveyed sequentially to the radioactivity measuring equipment 3 and thus, the radioactivity can be measured quickly with a Ge detector 10.
