PURPOSE:To continuously perform the surface treatment of a metal by spraying a slurried liquid for long periods of time by feeding a part of a coarse particle slurry separated in a classifier into a scraper type vacuum filter. CONSTITUTION:The slurry of fine particles separated in a classifier 7 is fed into a scraper type vacuum filter 8 for the separation of solids and liquid. A part of the slurry of coarse particles separated in the classifier 7 is also fed through a valve 9 into the filter 8 and the coarse particles are adhered to the surface of the filter layer or filter aid layer 20 in the filter during the vacuum filtration. The concentration of the slurry is adjusted with filtrate (water) from the filter tank 14 in a stock tank 16 and then returned to a spray nozzle 2. |
