PURPOSE:To obtain the can having excellent pressure resistance by covering the lid of a can to fit to the can body and by performing a fastening roll work on the outer face of a flange part as well as by applying the force to press the end edge of the can body to the inner face of the flange part to the can body. CONSTITUTION:A can lid 1 is covered to fit to the can body 2 and a seaming rotation chuck 7 which is brought into contact with the inner face of a chuck wall part 3 is fitted to the can lid 1. With this condition the end edge of the can body 2 is abutted to the inner face of the flange part 5 and a panel face 4 is abutted to the inner face of the can body 2 as well. The 1st fastening roll 8 is then abutted to the outer face of the flange part 5, forming the bent part 9 of the end edge 6. With progressing of the fastening of the roll 8 further the bent part 9 is unified with the chuck wall part 3. A double fastening part is formed in succession by the 2nd fastening roll 13 and a worked can having excellent pressure resistance can be thus obtd. with good efficiency. |
