PURPOSE:To take a measurement in a short time with high precision by arraying plural transmitters or receivers along the flow of fluid, and switching the transmitters or receiver successively and transmitting and receiving an ultrasonic wave. CONSTITUTION:A receiving body 2 is constituted by arraying plural receivers 20 and 20 in the flow direction, and the respective receivers 20 are switched successively in the flow direction by using a switching circuit 20 to receive a modulated ultrasonic wave. Then, a waveform decision circuit 6 decode on coincidence, an arithmetic circuit 8 inputs data on the switching frequency f1 of the switching circuit 4 and a clock frequency f2 to calculate the flow velocity V from an equation and further multiply the flow velocity V by the sectional area of the fluid, calculating the flow rate. Thus, the flow velocity and flow rate are measured in a short time with high precision. |
