PURPOSE:To reduce wear of a cam, by a method wherein the progress of wear of a pad is stopped by means of (MoW)C and attack properties against a mating part is decreased by means of (CrW)C. CONSTITUTION:A surface part, brought into contact with a cam, is formed by a carbide series sintered alloy consisting of 30-70wt% a rigid phase and rest of a bonding phase, and the rigid phase is formed by a mixture of a solid solution of CrC and WC and a solid solution of MoC and WC. The bonding phase formed by one or two or more types of iron group metals and contains 0.1-20wt%, based on the total of a sintered alloy, one or two or more types of Cr, Mo, and W. This reduces wear of a pad by means of (MoW)C and decreases wear of the pad by means of (CrW)C, resulting in reduction of wear of the cam to a low value. |
