PURPOSE:To obtain a medium having excellent scratching resistance and preventive effect against deposition of dust by forming a polymn. hardened layer of coating composition as a coating layer which essentially consists of monomers and oligomers having polymerizable ethylenic linkage in the molecule and containing specified quarternary ammonium salt. CONSTITUTION:The optical information recording medium has an information recording layer, transparent substrate and coating layer. The coating layer essentially consists of monomers and/or oligomers which have at least one polymerizable ethyleninc linkage in the molecule, and is composed of a polymn. hardened layer of coating composition which contains quarternary ammonium salt expressed by the formula. In the formula, R<1> is a long-chain alkyl or alkylene group having >=8 carbon number, R<2> iskan alkylene group having 1 - 4 carbon number, R<3>, R<4>, R<5> are alkyl or substd. alkyl groups having 1 - 4 carbon number, X<-> is an anion which forms quarternary ammonium salt. By this method, the obtd. optical disk has a transparent film of plastic material having excellent scratching resistance and preventive effect against deposition of dust. |
