<p>An assymetric microporous hollow fibre for hemodialysis is composed of 90-99% by weight of a first, hydrophobic polymer and 10-1% by weight of a second, hydrophilic polymer having a water uptake capacity of 3-10%, and is produced by precipitating an extruded solution of 12- 20% by weight of first polymer, 2-10% by weight of second polymer and a remainder of solvent from in to out while at the same time dissolving some of the pore former out of the extrudate, washing out the dissolved portion of the pore former and the other organic constituents, and stabilising the resulting fibre in a wash bath. <IMAGE></p> |
