<p>Solns. of 7-amino cephalosporanic acids are made by (a) reacting a cpd. of formula (I), in which R1 is H or lower alkoxy e.g. methoxy or the formamide gp. and R2 is methyl, methoxy or chloro, in suspension in anhydrous organic medium, with amides; and (b) neutralising the excess amine with an organic or inorganic acid.</p> |
