PURPOSE:To perform saddle stitch bookbinding without any absence of the center part of an original by taking smaller copies at a reduction ratio when copying every half part of the original on a corresponding page of a form, and making the amount of original information copied within the range of one page of the form larger than that of the half part of the original. CONSTITUTION:It is assumed that one piece of information is not contained in one entire surface of some original when five both-surface originals of A3 are copied to five forms of A3 and copies are bound on saddle stitch basis. The magnification varying mechanism of a copying machine 25 is set to a slight reduction ratio and copying operation is carried out. An original 5 is supplied onto contact glass 3 while turned over to copy its page 20, then page 19 and 20, and further page 17, and all copies of the original 5 is taken, so the originals 5 are returned onto an original 1 in an original tray 6. Then, originals 1-4 are supplied onto the contact glass 3 in order and copied similarly, and then returned into the original tray 6. In this case, the copies are taken at the slight reduction ratio, so the center part of each original is copied on either page of a form. |
