Building panels are made in casting moulds. In this case, each building plate has a preferably flat reinforcement made of metal which is embedded in a practically coherent mineral and/or organic solid-material matrix, preferably made of lightweight concrete; for the simultaneous manufacture of a number of panels in a single mould, an approximately box-shaped moulding space (10) is used, which contains an arrangement in layers (11) consisting of a number of mutually spaced form panels (20, 21, 22) with reinforcements (23, 24) lying between; the spacings (D) between adjacent form panels (21, 22) correspond to the thicknesses of the building panels; the intermediate spaces (27, 28, 29) between the approximately vertically standing form panels (20, 21) are, for embedding the reinforcement (23), filled into a mass which is capable of forming the solid-material matrix and the arrangement in layers (11), after forming the solid-material matrix, is dismantled to separate the building panels from the form panels (20, 21, 22). <IMAGE>
