A resilient ring, forming part of a clutch operating system, is made up of two sets of radial elements, alternating with each other. One set consists of rounded loops (3) and the other set consists of rectangular elements (2). Each loop is an open loop, with a central slot (5) extending radially towards the centre. Each rectangular element contains an elongated opening (10), and its flat base is T shaped, connecting the straight, parallel sides (36) of the two adjacent loops. The two sets of elements are bent to follow different planes, as seen in cross section. |
