<p>PURPOSE:To greatly shorten the transferring distance of papers to lower the possibility of damage of papers and to aim at shortening the time required for copying, by returning a paper just after an original image is transferred onto the paper. CONSTITUTION:Papers P fed out from a paper cassette 29 are merged from passages 31a into a passage 31b through which the papers P are introduced into an image transferring section 26B where a toner image on a photosensitive roller 28 is transferred onto the papers. The papers are then fed by a conveyor belt 32 into a fixing section 34 where the image is fixed. A reversing section 35 downstream of the fixing section 34 introduces the papers from their leading ends and feeds out them from their trailing ends to reverse the papers, and then the papers are temporarily stored in an intermediate tray 39 from which the papers are again fed by means of a roller 43 into the image transferring section 26B through a passage 43. Thus, an image is transferred to the rear surface of the papers P. Accordingly, when a plurality of images are transferred onto one paper for book binding, the conveying distance of the paper is greatly shortened so that the time required for copying may be greatly shortened, thereby it is possible to reduce damage of papers with a lower possibility.</p> |
