PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition having high mechanical properties, by a method wherein after molten thermoplastic resin is infiltrated into a reinforcing fiber bundle, an impregnated mixture is deaeration-treated under specific direct decompression while the thermoplastic resin is in a molten state CONSTITUTION:A continuous reinforcing fiber bundle 1 is fed into a fiber feed port 2, molten thermoplastic resin is fed through a feed port 3 and the molten thermoplastic resin is infiltrated into the reinforcing fiber bundle 1. After a molten matter of the thermoplastic resin is infiltrated into the reinforcing fiber bundle 1 while pulling the reinforcing fiber bundle 1, a decompression port (deaeration hole) 5 is provided in a decompression part or a decompression tank and sucked by a decompression device such as a vacuum pump. An impregnated mixture is deaeration-treated under decompression of not exceeding absolute pressure of 600mm Hg. A continuous fiber impregnated with the molten resin is fixed into a desired form by passing the same through a shaping die 6 and a fiber reinforcing thermoplastic resin composition is obtained. |
