PURPOSE:To shorten the recovery processing time for an operating system OS by using a means that stores assuredly the contents of a main memory to a recovery processing file when the system OS has breakdown. CONSTITUTION:The constitution position of a recovery processing file 5 is informed to a processor 3 from a central processing unit CPU1 via a system controller SCU2 after the rise of the OS. Receiving this information, the processor 3 recognizes the constitution position of the file 5 and starts to give monitor to the operation state of the CPU1 through signal lines 50 and 51 and the SCU2. The processor 3 recognizes that the OS of the CPU1 has breakdown and it is impossible for the CPU1 itself to store the contents of a main memory 4 to the file 5. In such a case, the processor 3 stores the contents of the memory 4 to the file 5 through a control signal line 12, data transfer signal lines 30 and 31 and the SCU2. |
