PURPOSE:To stably float and support a thin band-shaped material by installing a collision wall on the downstream side of gas jet-flow and installing a gas-stream guiding plate curved so as to depart to the downstream side, in an air wheel type nozzle for floating and supporting the thin band-shaped material. CONSTITUTION:Air wheel type nozzles 10 are arranged in zigzag form over and under the pass line l of the band-shaped material W such as aluminium foil, etc., and a gas jetting-out slit 12 inclined in the longitudinal direction of the band- shaped member W is installed onto one edge of a nozzle box 11, and a collision wall 13 consisting of projecting members is installed onto the other edge on the downstream side, and a gas-stream guiding plate 14 curved so as to depart from the pass line l is installed on the downstream side. The positive pressure P1 of the gas jetted from the slit 12 is increased by the collision wall 13, and through a negative pressure P2 is generated on the downstream side, said negative pressure is reduced by the gas-stream guide plate 14, and the floating height of the band-shaped material W is increased. |
