PURPOSE:To give uniaxial magnetic anisotropy to a thin film by a method wherein rectangular elements consisting of the first Permalloy material are arranged in parallel with each other leaving intervals of uniform pattern, and the remaining part is covered by the second Permalloy. CONSTITUTION:The first Permalloy material 10 is deposited on a substrate in the shape of a plurality rectangular elements leaving intervals in parallel. Each of the small rectangular elements functions as a small bar magnet by the help of anisotropic configuration. The second Permalloy material 12 is deposited on the remaining part on the surface of the substrate. The uniaxial magnetic anisotropy is imparted to the second Permalloy film by the magnetic field of each bar magnet 10. |
