The container has a fitting lid (3) which is pulled onto a sealing gasket (4) by the rotating closures, mounted around the container. The knobs grip securing studs (6) on the outside edge of the cover and through the rotation of the knobs the studs are pulled down to compress the sealing gasket. The knobs are mounted on hollow axles secured into mounting plates (7) around the container. The studs are gripped by positioning the slots in the grooved knobs and by rotating. The closure takes up any wear on the gasket. When the gasket becomes too worn, and compressed, the knobs cannot grip the studs.
