PURPOSE:To obtain an optimum temperature at a low cost in an electronic circuit, by storing lower and upper limits within a given range in first and second temperature storage means with the use of radiated power from a laser and by calculating an optimum operating temperature from these temperature values. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam is radiated from a semiconductor laser source 1 while changing the temperature with a temperature controlling means 3, and the radiated power is detected by a detecting means 4. The output thereof is differentiated by differentiating circuit 5. Every time a differential pulse is outputted, a temperature data at that time is stored in first storage means 11 and 13. The interval between the differential pulses is integrated by an integrating circuit 6, and the integrated output is compared with a reference voltage by a comparing circuit 8. When it exceeds the reference value, a temperature at that time is stored in second temperature storage means 12 and 14 when the next differential pulse is outputted. An optimum operating temperature is obtained by a calculating means 10 from the temperature values stored in the first and second temperature storage means. |
