PURPOSE:To obtain a lamp having high efficiency, high rendition, and long life by specifying a ratio of sodium to sodium amalgam, inner diameter of luminescent tube, and potential gradient of a lamp, and combining the lamp with a specified lighting device. CONSTITUTION:The ratio of sodium to sodium amalgam which is sealed in a luminescent tube is limited to 25wt% or more. When the inner diameter of a luminescent tube is Dmm., potential gradient is E, and L is 10/lmm. (l is the distance between electrodes), these values are specified to meet formulas I, II, and III. A high pressure sodium lamp is combined with each cycle lighting device of 100V power source. Thereby, a lamp having high efficiency, high rendition, and long life is obtained. |
