PURPOSE:To simplify the copying work to improve the efficiency by providing a means, which exposes a part other than an original image on a photosensitive body to light when a thick original is copied, to remove the black ground generated in the part other than the original image. CONSTITUTION:In an LED array 4, 65 LEDs 4a are arranged in a row at intervals of 5mm. in the throughout region having 320mm. longitudinal side, and indexes 13 marked at intervals of 5mm. are displayed in accordance with LEDs 4a with the left lower end as the reference. When a thick original 12 for which index values are A15 and B15 is copied, an optical system unit light source is turned on as shown by (1) in the figure and LEDs 15-65 are turned on as shown by (2)in the figure when the copying operation is started at a time t1. At a time t2 when the optical system unit scans right an original platen from the left end to reach the position B15, LEDs 0-14 are turned on as shown by (3) in the figure, and the copying operation is terminated at a time t3. The lighting timing t2 corresponding to the inputted index value in the transverse direction B is calculated by an operating means. |
