PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of collating work and to save a seal impression list storing space by automatically retrieving a seal impression by means of an existing facsimile(FAX) equipment and storing seal impression files only in a center. CONSTITUTION:When a customer enters data in a repaying slip or the like on a branch 20-1, a teller transmits the slip to the center 22 through a FAX equipment 44-1. The center 22 automatically receives the slip and recognizes characters in a retrieving key data part indicated by an account number or the like in the received image by a character recognizing part 34. A seal impression file control part 30 retrieves seal impression data based upon the recognized result and extracts compressed seal impression data from a seal impression file part 32. The extracted data are returned to the FAX equipment 44-1 in the branch 20-1 transmitting the slip. The teller in the branch 20-1 collates/ compared the returned seal impression data with a seal impression carried by the customer to repay money. |
