<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate humidity of paper and to prevent the occurrence of a jam and deterioration of print quality by providing a lift-up plate for placing paper in an cassette case and separation fingers for pressing the uppermost paper at both side corners of the forward end thereof. CONSTITUTION:A cassette case 16 of a paper feed cassette C is provided with a lift-up plate 19 urged by a spring 18 and separation fingers 21 for pressing both side corners of the forward end of the uppermost paper 20. A heater 23 is disposed on the inside of a cover 22 for covering the most part of an opening surface of the cassette case 16. When the cassette case 16 is installed on a printer body, power supply input terminals 29, 30 mounted on the cassette case 16 are brought into contact with power supply output terminals of the printer body to a cause a heater 23 to generate heat, whereby the uppermost paper 20 placed on the lift-up plate 19 is heated to eliminate humidity. Accordingly, the generation of a jam and deterioration of print quality due to moisture absorp tion can be prevented.</p> |
