PURPOSE:To obtain a carcinogenesis inhibitor having excellent safety, comprising a dioxabicyclo[3,3,0]octane derivative as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:A compound shown by the formula (R<1> to R<6> are H or 1-3C alkyl or R<1> and R<2> and/or R<4> and R<5> are bonded to form methylene or ethylene; n, m and l are 0 or 1) such as sesamine, sesaminol or sesamolin is used as an active ingredient, properly mixed with generally usable preparation raw materials and pharmaceutically manufactured to give the objective substance, which can be made into a dosage form such as emulsion, capsule, powder, granule, tablet or injection. A dose is 1-100mg/day in the case of oral administration and 0.1-20mg/day in the case of parenteral administration. The compound shown by the formula is obtained from sesame seed, sesame cake or sesame oil by extraction or synthesis and has inhibitory action on metabolic change of primary bile acid and cholesterol caused by intestinal bacteria. |
