<p>PURPOSE:To make possible the initial setting of a draft position by providing means for calibrating the relation between the draft position and roll gap under ordinary rolling conditions. CONSTITUTION:The differential pressure signal 18 and screw-down cylinder position signal 19 outputted from a screw-down device 9 are stored one after another at every specified period at the same timing into a memory part 14. A comparator 13 compares the signal 18 and a reference differential pressure 20 at all times and when the signal 18 exceeds the pressure 20, the comparator 13 delivers a detection signal 21 to a control part 12 and an arithmetic part 15. The part 12 cuts off the full close command 17 to a screw-down device 10 and the device 9 maintains the screw-down cylinder position at the point of this time. The part 15 calculates and outputs the reference point of the screw-down position by the equation from the differential pressure data 22, screw-down position data 23, the thickness 22 of the rolling material before deformation and the change coefft. 25 of the change rate of the roll gap stored in the memory part 14.</p> |
