PURPOSE:To make it possible to print the standard or optional style of type using the same program with the free and easy selectioi by providing a selector switch to the font cartridge having the option character set. CONSTITUTION:A selector switch 4 is provided on the font cartridge 3 having the optional character set 9 corresponding to the standard character set 8 housing a printer. Either data of the standard character set 8 or the optional character set 9 of the printer control circuit is read out by the CPU5, owing to a switch over of the conductor H.L of the switch 4 in the state of mounting the font cartridge 3 to the printer, the print head 17 is driven based on this procedure. The style of type can be changed by the simple manual operation of selecting the switch under using the same program in this manner. |
