The anti-rotational breech lock comprises a full ring of equally spaced dogs (136) slideably engaging complementary lugs (134) extending from the disk (18) to restrain the blades (20) axially. A key (141) fits any space (140) between lugs (134) and has an in situ bent tab (146) nested between the key (141) and ring that engages the back and front end of the ring (138) to lock the key (141) into place. Because the key (141) can fit anywhere around the circumference of the disk (18) and as many keys (141) as spaces (140) can be deployed, the key (141) may serve to balance the rotor.
