PURPOSE:To allow highly precisely a moving body to detect its position by calculating the movement extent of the position of the moving body from the azimuth, cross angle, and divergence obtained with radio waves from one master station and plural slave stations, and combining the main station and slave stations so that the movement extent is minimum. CONSTITUTION:Characteristic frequency signals of the main and slave stations are received by an antenna 20 and inputted to receivers 21m-21p. Further, a reference signal of high frequency is inputted from a reference transmitter 23 to phase comparators 22m-22p through variable frequency dividers 24m-24p and compared with the signals from the receivers 21m-22p to obtain phase differences. They are inputted to a processor 26. The processor 26 calculates the directions from the respective station and computes the cross angles between measurement hyperbolas to every two slave stations and the degree of divergence of the hyperbola at its position from the directions. Then, one master station and two slave stations are selected so that the cross angle and divergence due to the movement of the position are minimum, and the position is computed. Thus, the stations are so selected that the cross angle of hyperbolas and the degree of divergence are minimum, so the position of the moving body is detected with high precision. |
