NEW MATERIAL:A novel antibiotic 271-4SA or 271-4SB having elementary analysis and molecular weight as atypical powder as shown in the table. EFFECT:Capable of forming a complex with a bivalent metallic ion to give a pharmacologically acceptable complex. Calcium complex is preferred. PREPARATION:A microorganism, belonging to the genus Streptomyces, and producing antibiotic 271-4SA and 271-4SB is cultivated in a culture medium to accumulate the aimed antibiotic 271-4SA and 271-4SB, which are then collected. |
