<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the breakdown of LSI chips even when latch-up generates by a method wherein the power supply line to the case is provided with a supply signal ON-OFF part which automatically turns the power supply line on by sensing heat and turns it OFF again thereafter. CONSTITUTION:ON-OFF parts 7-2 and 7-3 are made of shape memory alloy that changes the shape by sensing heat and normally have a shape of 7-2; thus, power supply paths 6-1 and 6-2 are connected to each other, and the power source is supplied to an LSI chip 4 via wires 5. When latching up, the LSI chip 4 generates heat: this heat is supplied to the ON-OFF part 7-2 through the case body 2 and the power supply path 6-2, and the ON-OFF part 7-2 changes the shape as shown by 7-3, resulting in the cutting of the power supply path. This turns off the power having been supplied to the LSI chip 4, and this chip 4, case body 2, power supply path 6-2, and ON-OFF part 7-3 are gradually cooled; then, the ON- OFF part 7-3 returns to the shape of 7-2. Thereby, the power supply paths 6-1 and 6-2 are connected to each other, and the power is supplied to the LSI chip 4.</p> |
