PURPOSE:To perform a thermal transfer recording uniformly all over a predetermined area even on a paper with large unevenness by a method wherein a vibration producing oscillator is mounted and printing is performed while the oscillator is driven at a frequency higher than the heat cycle of the printing head. CONSTITUTION:As during a printing operation, a printing head 11 is vibrated with a vibration producing oscillator 19 composed of a piezoelectricity and the like at a frequency higher than the heat cycle of a thermal resister 14, for example, at 3 or 5 times of the heat cycle, the melted ink on the ink ribbon 18 is subjected to the instantaneous kinetic energy and is transferred to a paper 15 on the platen 16 while oozing out to the suface easily. Therefore even on a very uneven surfaced portion of a paper 1, ink 2 is transferred uniformly all over a predetermined area, clear printing is obtained and the printing quality is enhanced. |
