PURPOSE:To arrange so that a platen may be held at the best location to enable printing in high quality by providing a rotatable platen, a means to motivate around a rotary shaft and a means to adjust a rotating angle in a printer. CONSTITUTION:If the distance (d) between the back 30 of a platen metal 4 and the second support surface 22 is changed by turning an adjustment screw 20 clockwise or counter-clockwise, a platen 2 rotates either in ''B'' or ''C'' direction centering around a shaft 12 so that the front of a platen rubber 6 can be adjusted to be parallel with a head surface. That is, the front of a platen rubber 6 is positioned to run parallel with the head surface by turning the adjustment screw 20 and then an operator adjustes while making sure that the best print quality is obtained. |
