NEW MATERIAL:2-Phosphinomethylamlic acid expressed by the formula or a salt thereof. USE:Capable of improving the production of a substance SF-1293 by adding the above-mentioned novel substance to a process for production and cultivation of the substance SF-1293 useful as a herbicide. PREPARATION:A microorganism, belonging to the genus Streptomyces, and producing the 2-phosphinometrylmalic acid is cultivated to give a culture, and the aimed 2-phosphominomethylamid acid is collected from the resultant culture. Preferably, fluoroacetic acid or a salt thereof is added to the culture medium for the microorganism producing the 2-phosphominomethylamlic acid. |
