A filter device, preferably intended for dewatering of cellulose suspensions, comprises annular filter discs (18), which are arranged parallelly and axially aligned. Each filter disc comprises a support wall (1), protrusions (2) formed on each side of the support wall, and at least one straining cloth (7), which covers both sides of the support wall and which is supported by the protrusions, said support wall, straining cloth and protrusions delimiting spaces (8) for filtrate. Outlets (9) for the filtrate spaces (8) are arranged in the filter disc for discharge of filtrate, which has flowed through the straining cloth (7) into the channels during rotation of the filter disc. According to the invention a stiffening means (5) is situated between the radially outermost and innermost parts of the support wall (1) and between the portions of the straining cloth (7), which cover both sides of the support wall. The stiffening means (5) extends substantially in the circumferential direction of the filter disc and is rigidly connected to the support wall. |
