PURPOSE:To obtain a superior silver image high in the max. density and to shorten image formation time by processing in the presence of a compd. represented by the formula shown here. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive element including a silver halide photographic sensitive emulsion layer, and an image receiving element including a image receiving layer containing a silver precipitating agent are processed in the presence of a hydroxylamine silver halide developer and a silver halide solvent and in addition to both, a compd. represented by the formula in this image formation method for silver salt diffusion transfer. In the formula R1 is a 11-18C aliphatic hydrocarbon group having a one double bond, R2 is a 1-4C aliphatic hydrocarbon group, and cation M is H, an alkali metal or an org. amine cation. This compd. is contained in an amt. of 4X10<-4>-4X10<-1>mol per mol of silver halide. |
