PURPOSE:To obtain the suction pipe for an internal-combustion engine excellent in durability at low cost by a method in which rubber compound is kneaded until the fiber is dispersed uniformly, and further kneading is continued, throwing vulcanizing agent thereinto, and then obtained rubber compound containing fiber is molded under pressurizing and heating using the mold for molding pipe. CONSTITUTION:Jute fiber (fiber length: 30-60mm.) is dipped in the adhesive solution, diluted by ten times, of resorcinol family or silane (process a), and the jute fiber impregnated with adhesive is thrown into rubber compound and is kneaded (process b). The jute fiber which is cut 0.8-2mm. length by kneading is uniformly dispersed in rubber compound (process c). At this stage, vulcanizing agent is thrown into said compound, and kneading is further continued. At the stage where the vulcanizing agent is uniformly mixed, the kneading is stopped and the material is molded into planar members (process d). The outer periphery of a core 1 covered with two plate like members 3 obtained, is received in the molds 2 of top force and bottom force, and then it is pressurized and heat treated by compression molding (process e). Thus, the objective suction pipe 4 may be obtained (process f). |
