PURPOSE:To prevent seams of a multi-layered lumber from being positioned at unsuitable positions for the purpose of preventing the lumber from strength deterioration by contituting a manufacturing device for column shaped multi-layered lumber or the like in such a way that materials of which seam positions are so calculated from their lengths and compared with each other in a row and a layer as to become proper are selected and are fed to a second feed path. CONSTITUTION:The value of length of a material measured (47) on a first feed path is input into an arithmetical and logic unit in which the seam position data between each of materials (a) of a constant length (a') for a row or a layer are calculated and stored. And the seam position data calculated in order are compared with the data stored and when, hence, the ones having longer distance between seam to be formed and the nearest seam among the material group (a) of the ahead row than the allowable length are distinguished, the gate of a feeding material selction mechanism 49 are opened to feed them into a second feed path 3. By this constitution, the seam positional relations between each of rows and each of layes can be maintained and strength deterioration can be prevented. |
