摘要 PURPOSE:To simplify the operation in profiling, avoide waste of duplicate processing, and raise the precision without diagonal processing, by setting a vector calculating part and a profiling direction calculating part in an automatic shape- following profiling mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A profiling control device 9 of such as an engraving machine 4 has a profiling function by which a signal of a tracer head 8 is accepted, its error signal is made, and the machine is controlled as this error is vanished. Beside this ordinary function, the said device 9 has other functions such as a vector calculating part 10 which calculates projective component parts of the normal line in the profiling plane toward X-Y plane, according to a signal of the tracer head 8, a profiling direction calculating part 11 which decides the profiling direction and the pickfeed direction and so on, a distributive circuit 12 which distributes the profiling direction into X-axial direction and Y-axial direction, and a servo-amplifier 13 which drives an electric motor set at each of feed shafts of the machine through amplifiying the signal of each of X-Y axes. By this system, the operation in profiling is simplified, waste of duplicate processing is avoided, and the precision can be raised.
