PURPOSE:To make a parts insertion head for an automatic electronic parts insertion device compact and to make it easy to constitute a multi-head by uniting a parts inserter and a driving mechanism to open and close the inserted and by so constituting the mechanism as to make it possible to vertically move. CONSTITUTION:Introduction of air from an airport 30 for closing the inserter moves a cylinder rod 29 downward. By this movement, rollers 27 are contacted with the taper and thick end of the cylinder rod 29 resisting the force of a springs 25 and are pushed toward outer sides to cause arms 13 to make a minute rotation around shafts 22 for closing a inserter 11 to hold a part 34. Then, a base 16 vertically travels by the drive of an aircylinder 20 along the shafts 18 fixed to a frame 19. This constitution makes it easy to constitute a compact multi-head. |
