PURPOSE:To prevent gnowing and distortions when an outer ring is pushed into the inner diameter of a bearing box for assembly with interference fit by forming the outer ring into a tapered shape. CONSTITUTION:A shell-made outer ring 3 with outer diameters D and D1 in the non-push-in side A and the push-in side C is given a tapered shape of D - D1 = 0.02--0.07mm. When the bearing assembly is pushed into the inner diameter of a bearing box 4 made of light alloy like alumimum or thin steel, the end part C of the bearing can be inserted easily with a gap e at the beginning, while the end parts A and C, and the central part B are corrected at the end, and the gap e is perfectly removed for obtaining a normal assembly state. |
