The ceramic tuyere base is made up of a number of blocks of refractory materials and can be used in high temperature fluidised bed applications. The base of the tuyeres is supported by walls made of refractory material. Each wall consists of a lower support plate and a cover plate resting on the support plate. The plates are separated by a sheet of metal and a steel sheet also covers the tuyeres.
