PURPOSE:To smooth conveying a workpiece in a conveying apparatus provided with a loader having workpiece catch means by travelling the loader at least in a horizontal section one third the interval between presses, and supporting the catch means through an expansion arm. CONSTITUTION:An apparatus 20 for conveying a work between presses includes a loader 22 travelling horizontal guide rails 23 formed on a frame 21, wherein the loader 22 is horizontally travelled by operation of a horizontal driving device 28, and elevated by operation of a cylinder 27. The loader 22 has a pair of left and right expansion arms 32 expanded horizontally by operation of the cylinder, and work catch means 44, 45 are mounted on the forward ends of the arms 32. A press line comprises the first and second idles 4, 5 disposed in such a manner as to divide the distance L between the centers of the presses into three equal parts between the preceding and succeeding presses 4, 5, and the loader 22 is horizontally travelled in a horizontal reciprocation section of L/3. |
