摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic core which does not result in deterioration of magnetic characteristics such as iron loss owing to resin hardening and contracting and of which cutting faces are not deformed when the core is made as a cut-core shape, by a method in which, after a magnetic core body which consists of a wound or laminated metal magnetic thin belt made of iron based amorphous magnetic alloy is impregnated with resin, the core body is cooled to a temperature below an ambient temperature and portions of the body are then cut. CONSTITUTION:Resin which can keep the shape of a magnetic core body after impregnating and which has such a hardness that magnetic characteristics does not almost deteriorate because of a small stress being exerted to the core body, for example silicon based resin, is employed. As a core body cooling temperature being below an ambient temperature, a temperature at which the resin loses the resilience and is more hardened, is preferably employed, and for example a liquid nitrogen temperature (about -200 deg.C) is most preferably employed. In this case, after a predetermined time when the magnetic core body is immersed in liquid nitrogen, the core body may be taken out. Thereafter, under the condition where the resin is being hardened, predetermined portions of the core body are cut to make a cut-core shape, with the result that thin belts are not separated individually even when the core body returns to an ambient temperature after the cutting and there is no possibility that the thin belts may be opened in a fan-shape on the cutting planes so as to deform the planes.
