PURPOSE:To reduce an asymmetry convergence error by providing a getter device along a horizontal axis on a funnel inside wall surface of a color picture tube, in whose inside neck three electron guns are arranged in one row along the horizontal axis. CONSTITUTION:An electron gun 11, in which three electron guns emitting blew, green and red beams are in one row arranged along the horizontal axis inside the neck of a color picture tube, while a ring-shaped getter device 14, which is so constituted that one end is fixed to said electron gun while the other end part of a flexible thin stripe 13 extending out along the inside wall surface of a funnel 12 has a ring-shaped getter container filled with a getter agent, is provided along the horizontal axis X. Accordingly, the getter device 14 in an operation state is not to be in a magnetic field of an horizontal deflection coil instead in the magnetic field 16 made by a vertical deflection coil 15 so as to reduce a spiral current generated in the getter device due to the deflection magnetic field thus making it possible to neglect an asymmetry convergence error. |
