PURPOSE:To perform the noninterference control of a current and a magnetic flux by providing feed forward control means and means for controlling a field current so that the commutation margin angle of a thyristor inverter connected with an armature is constant. CONSTITUTION:When a controlled AC power is supplied from an inverter 3 to the armature 2A of a synchronous motor 2, the input side current value IS of the inverter 3, the output side voltage value Va of the inverter, and the speed n(omega) of the motor 2 are detected, the prescribed calculation is performed by a calculator 21, added by an adder 22 with the preset margin angle to obtain a voltage DELTAV proportional to the commutation margin angle gamma to control the inverter 3. A variable control rectifier 7 for controlling the power supply to the field 2F of the motor 2 controls the field current If so that the magnetic flux component crossing perpendicularly to the armature current coincides with the command value. |
