PURPOSE:To provide a high-draft type rolling-mill equipment which obviates the defective bite of the front end of a rolling stock, etc. by consisting the same of a rolling mill for generating push force, a multiple rolling mill having small-diameter work rolls provided on the outlet side thereof, and roller guides provided between both rolling mills. CONSTITUTION:The above-described rolling-mill equipment is constituted of the 2-high mill 5 for loading push force, the multi-roll mill 7 having a pair of the small-diameter work rolls 8a, 8b and the roller guides 10a, 10b provided between the mills 5 and 7. The thin slab 2 having 30-40mm. thickness is then rolled in one pass at >=45% draft by the mill 5 on the inlet side. The rolling stock 2 is then passed through the guides 10a, 10b and is then loaded with the compressive force of 0.1-0.9 times the yield stress of the stock 2 and is rolled to the prescribed thickness (4-5mm.) by the mill 7 on the outlet side. As a result, the problems of the instability in rolling such as the defective bite of the front end of the rolling stock and slip are solved and the rolling torque of the multi- rolls is reduced. The generation of the slip between the rolls is further prevented. |
